Let's just get it over with....

This is a great lesson in education. Regardless of your politics you will
agree with this.

Subject: 545 people.....

This is an article written by Charlie Reese, a former columnist for the
Orlando Sentinel Newspaper. Very interesting perspective on the state of
our Nation!

545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then
campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are
against deficits, we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation
and
high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on
appropriations.

The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme
Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly,
legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems
that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem
was
created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional du
ty
to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central
bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.
They
have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a
congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care
if
they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the
power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is
the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what
they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless
of
party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive
amount
of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who
stood
up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can
only propose a budget. He cannot for ce the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole
responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and
approving
appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the
leader
of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president,
can
approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass
it
over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace
545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and
irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not
traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain
truth
that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must
follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is u nfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ .

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan
not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire
and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they
can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and
from
whom they can take t his po wer.Above all, do not let them con you into
the
belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,'
'inflation,' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an
oath to do.

T hose 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable width by the people
who are their bosses provided the voters have the gumption to manage
their
own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

A first hand reason NEVER to drink and drive

Tonight we witnessed first hand a drunk driver. Let me back track a bit first...
I am against putting Logan on the side of my Rav 4 in the back. I have ALWAYS been forceful in the opinion that he has to be in the middle. I caved on the side driver seat for Logan in the truck. Tonight as we were driving the truck. Out the corner of my eye I see odd movement we are at the corner of 12th and Burlington stopped at the spot light. Logan was singing "Compliment " in the back so for that spit second I turned my head back to him all of a sudden I hear metal on concrete. I look over and the odd movement was the truck up on the sidewalk, totally on the sidewalk. There was a car in front of the truck and he eeked by him on the side taking with him the dudes side mirror. We saw he was drunk as a skunk and he KEPT going! The odd movement was he had swerved in and would have otherwise hit us, IF he hadn't for some reason swerved into the sidewalk. I didn't catch the tag number, but had a description. I hope like hell someone called about this. I didn't have my phone on me. Logan was so scared when he saw the other car about get plowed into. Moral of this story is DON'T DRINK and DRIVE, even if you think you are sober enough, you are likely not.

Politically incorrect...sure...but dude has a point!

As many of my readers know I am an independent thinker. Who tends to fall more to the Conservative side. This election I was going to vote Libertarian, just to vote, then Sarah Palin came on the scene. I love this little fire cracker. She's like me, but with a litter of kids and a real job... Those who don't think she is a feminist, shame on you. Our society has been on a downward sprial of entitlement. All those who are voting for something diffreent with Obama, you have no idea what he is going to do. THe scope of what he is going to do to this country is going to be alarming, and not in a good way. You had a better shot with Hilary, and we all know how hard it is for me to say that. Was McCain my first pick, HELL NO! But he will keep our country safe, and in doing so help put in place the peices to rebuild our crumbling infostructor. We are a mere shadow of what we once were. China and India are becoming the next super powers and we aare on the track to becoming a socialist has been country. Want to know what it will be like, ask Russia circa 20 plus years ago. I was sent Bill's sign's over 2 years ago and go to his site from time to time to read them. They are rude, crude, funny and have a point. In your face is not what we are used to anymore in this country, sad really. Don't coddle me, I want to hear it like it is. Candy coating is really for p*ssies. Please enjoy the politically incorrect signs, or be offended after all till election day, we are still a free country.

He has a point...many forgot about this one.

I had a friend who had a better idea costing less then 300 million bucks. Give each legal taxpayer (who really paid taxes that is) a million bucks tax free instead. Talk about an injection of money into the ecoomy. You know most would blow it right away, just like they bought houses they couldn't afford. But it would have been a cheaper idea, and I personally was all for it.

Need I really say more...

The moral to the whole blog. Thanks to Kristi for once again lighting the political fire under my butt!! She's my favorite Conservitive.

Here is the pyrmid craft that FF will be getting from Logan...

I finally took these off my camera, I know WHAT a slacker I am. I will try to be better with the pictures and such...this one had a King Tut bust in it. It was wonderful, it took almost an hour to do.

Boo-seum Party

There was one other Harry Potter there, about 10 or 11. His friends pointed him to Logan and Logan said hi! He called Logan a pussy! I was about to go off when Logan pulled me away and said, "don't worry mom, he's a poser!" I was so proud! Then he whispered, " I am more of a real Harry Potter, and I turned his candy into snakes!" That's my boy!!!!!

Harry Potter, rock star

Guitar Hero, Logan style...

This ones for Kaitlen...Rock on babe!

No fear from this little dude.

Is this not the cutest haunted house?

Outside the inflatable Haunted House

'Dem Bones!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Logan LOVED this when it was in the opening doors of Kmart last year. I think this is what sparked the love of all things creepy!

The Lady of Lore

Playing with the cauldron

I couldn't resist

Fun fun!!!

Yep, he really did eat a cheddar flavored meal worm to get the flippin' sticker...YUCK!

Touching the "body parts."

She told him he had more bones than her because he's a kid. Logan told her she has kneecaps, and he doesn't yet till he's 5! Smarty pants!

Talking about the cranial cavity with The Bone Lady!

Petting the snake

The hedgehog

The lizard he just HAD to pet

Party wrap ups pics to follow...

Children's Museum party, lame. The place is dying, the mall has 3 stores left. The days there are numbered. They make do with what they have but....

YMCA was smaller than last year in size and activities, but was still fun. Logan went through the haunted house with out me. Too cool to have me there I guess. Ghosts are not a fear of his...I couldn't climb that thing anyways with my ankle. They ran out of cookies and pumpkins to decorate. Logan didn't care. He was being fawned over my Harry Potter lovers. It was nuts, I honestly thought it wasn't THAT neat, but he again won the unofficial staff favorite costume contest. He did look cute as hell though...his face will be used for sure for future promotions.

Last night was the Boo-seum Spectacular at the Hastings Museum. Don't be surprised if you see a young Potter online pimping the place for next year. My little media hound was game for it all. The Haunted History maze, putting together the bones in the body, feeling "body parts" (heart-stewed tomato, intestines-egg noodles, ect) Ghost stories, planetarium show about the "Moonwitch," a couple crafts, petted snakes, lizzards, hedge hog, and ate a cheddar flavored meal worm. Yes, he ate a bug to get a sticker! Lastly they had a inflatable haunted house he wouldn't leave there. Alas, mean Mommy made him leave shortly before 9pm, an hour after his bedtime...

All and all the weekend was busy. It is ungoddly windy out and we are staying inside today. I am letting him watch DVR-ed episodes of Ghost Hunters. I have to get pics uploaded and explain to my art teacher what a true Renaissance Man is...I just want to get her class over with. Leaving my with 2 papers for Religions to do.

It's a bird, it's an Owl, iiiittttt's Sully as Hedgewick!!!

Yes, Lisa, I meant to contact you earlier and tell you I got it, but time got away from me, bad friend. As promised here is the beginning of the picture barrage with my "fur child.". Here are pictures from the costume Lisa created just for our puppy. Pardon the lack of grooming. Is she not talented or what, she didn't even have measurements, she went off my description. You should see the darling one of a kind girls outfits she makes too!

Friday Night, Party Night

Logan brought his girlfriend Olivia from his preschool class last year.

Logan A.K.A. Harry Potter, Ghost Buster

Olivia, super sassy bat girl!

Olivia and the snake pit

American Gothic, Halloween style!

Olivia riveted by the story, Tinker Bell not so sure, and Logan, not so much.

Do a little dance...

Note the one who doesn't look scared as the Vampire comes out.

YMCA Party
Here is Logan at the YMCA's party. Where I was told he won the unofficial best costuem contest again this year.. I never imagined the outfit was going to be as big a hit as it was. People fawning over Logan, he was in heaven!
