Don't knock the Havanese!

Through this hellish semester, I have found out far more about the Havanese dogs then I ever thought I could. Some good, some bad. I have to start compiling this info and actually structuring it into a real academic paper like NOW! Hang up being the instructor has the class structured so that one has to get a grade on one paper to proceed on the next. I have a number of papers out. Including my Havanese Research papers structure assignment. I am very apprehensive as to the out come of the class. In the grad scheme it is nothing, just an accidental class I took not knowing I wouldn't need it.

It is extremely difficult to do an academic paper on a dog breed. Even harder when the truest history of the breed is not really for sure known. The instructor knows this, and told me as much. But, also told me that if I can make it a factual academic styled paper I will not have a problem. I have the info, I have the know how, now I just have to do it. I am citing everything in APA style as he says I am far more proficient in that form of citations. I prefer MLA, but have been known to pander to get the right grade. He is not sorry he is making this class difficult for me and pushing me to think. "Some students just need the challenge." Damn him, how does he know I will dig into this like a pitbull.

I just want this over so I can go back to free writing again. I detest the prision of this structered writing.

Thank you Auntie Cheryl!

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES

Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop.

Avoid arguments with the Mrs. About lifting the toilet seat by using the sink.

For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.

A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives; then you'll be afraid to cough.

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD -40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape..

Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem

For the "Rooster" and other lovers of birds

Ru, here is a super awesome pic I took of a Sandhill Crane last week. He was across a corn field strutting his stuff but I zoomed in pretty nice, I think!

Your Mommy can print out for you when she comes and gets her flippin' printer from me! (((HINT HINT HINT!!!))) I can email the full size to Momma if she wants it!

*Sigh*

No kidding this was my day in brief Wednesday. Dog arse sleepy, I am awaken just after 6am to 40lbs of wide awake child missing the middle of the bed but landing square on top of me! He complaining about going swimming during school, I told him tough, silently cursing my MIL. Tossed his swim trunks on the pile and walked down to get breakfast for him and let Sully out. He was not going to get to watch any TV in the morning as his attitude the day before sucked. Causing drama again!

FF to work, still dead tired and having to vest up 60 kids of ranging annoying levels, 6 classes. Some happy, some upset. Half way through Logan's section comes in and he is livid. It's like a little mini-me, attitude yea, but nothing to back it up with. Gesturing like a Shakespearean actor he is trying to monologue his way out getting into the water. He got all but dragged in by the 2 teachers professing his unhappiness all the way. Maegan convinced him he wasn't going to sink in the life vest by dunking him. Harsh, not really in my eyes. I went up by his preschool aide and his teacher from last year, they realized 1/2 way to the locker rooms that Logan was not in line. "It was too quiet, we knew Logan was not there without even looking!" He hid with the other section of the class, the teacher didn't even notice. His plan was to get back in to the mix as they switched sections again, he even was going to put water on his head from the bubblier to make his hair wet! I'll give him points for creativity, at 4 it really was a rather brilliant plan! One problem,k everyone knows him and he is too noticeable to seemingly everyone but his teacher this year. His teach from last year was going off about how Logan was acting in the water, going so far as to say let me at your MIL she's damaging him. I just nodded. Corey was looking in and we waved him in to watch the session with Logan. I guess he wasn't expecting to see how badly one comment from his damn mother can warp Logan's view on life. I excused myself and called Michelle to get Bethany's # to set up private lessons. If anyone can get Logan back to the water it will be her. He has a realtionship with Meag so that won't work. I don't need him to be Maichael Phelps, just be able to save himself in case of a water emergancy. Got the # and left her a message, warning her of what she would face.

So, got through the rest of the sessions, went to get some lunch to make at home and then pick up Logan from school. Went home and 1st thing called the college to see if my transcripts made it, they did. Though evealuation was not for a couple weeks as I got them in so late. I asked if she could bump me up (cou;nt hurt to ask!) telling her why it was late. She did! Ha! Corey had to go to work an evening. Loga was livid again. Wonder where the temper came from? Webkinz was down again and that made it worse. So to make it better I suggested a movie, he wanted Harry Potter 3 as I was to start that boo that evening. Fine, I could get my annotations completed. Right!

Corey's OCD was in full gear he called me out of the blue and talking worriedly about our well not being in our name and it was like a class 4 misdemenor or something. WE HAD to find out right then, and who put it in blah blah blah. No notes on the well itself he sent me to the crawlspace to look. So he began google earthing it, and telling me to call the builder. Who's like 70 and lives down the street, and is also an asshole! I said I would call our realtor. Hung up and called her was on the line for 5 minutes. She would check it out. Corey called again I hung up with the realtor and took the call all the while knowing the time on the movie was eeking away and so was my time to get school work done. He "thinks" he found the right well. Umm, fine it's registered no misdemenor in the builders name though. So it is after 5 and he's all worked up about it. Grrr.... Told him we would take care of it later. Hung up and got back to work. He kept texting me about things here and there I was getting annoyed as hell. Then Bethany calles and that takes about 20 minutes just chatting with her and talking about Logan. Text Corey and her has to call to repeat what I just texted him! OCD overload, it takes a special person not to ring someone like his neck sometimes! God Love'em!

After some hardcore complaining and a meltdown Logan was ready for bed finally. Annotations still not done yet. I was already behind, and getting farther. I had planned to work out, and keot too it getting in 3.1 miles and then tackled the school work. I told him what I was doing and he still texted and called me about sending some of the Whooper pics to a coworker of his. I did get a bit of respit in the tub, but then it was time for him to leave work and call me then. Some times I just need to be left alone. They just don't get it. With all their energy bombarding me at all times of the day I am just frazzled near the end of the night.

BTW I did get the annotations done, I did a shity job, I will admit. My heart is not in it as it was last semester. HE is gradeing too slow and asking for too much to be done. You cannot submit step 2 without 1 being graded and you looking it over. I have a ton of stuff waiting to be done but feel I can progress no farther without some grades on earlier ones to see if I am doing it right. I haven't even began structering the 10 pages for the paper. I have nicknamed it "The Fluff Piece on Fluff Balls!" Both the instructor and I know it is NOT going to be an acidemic paper. So I am just trying to get through it and hope for a B and not kill my GPA too much!

So is another day in the life of Krimsin. *sigh*

Got this email from my Auntie Cheryl this evening

Screw email, I will just post it here. All the "COOL" people read my blog after all! ;P I posted it because as Americans it SHOULD NOT offend you to stand up for and show pride in your country. Or what is supposed to be not the entitlement county it is becoming. What a slap on the face it will be when all the Gimme, Gimmes realize the gimme only goes so far...

Letter by a Florida teacher. A teacher speaks

This is a subject close to my heart. Do you know that we have adult students at the school where I teach who are not US citizens and who get the PELL grant, which is a federal grant (no pay back required) plus other federal grants to go to school?

One student from the Dominican Republic told me that she didn't want me to find a job for her after she finished my program, because she was getting housing from our housing department and she was getting a PELL grant which paid for her total tuition and books, plus money leftover.

She was looking into WAIT which gives students a CREDIT CARD for gas to come to school, and into CARIBE which is a special program (check it out - I did) for immigrants and it pays for child care and all sorts of needs while they go to school or training. The one student I just mentioned told me she was not going to be a US Citizen because she plans to return to the Dominican Republic someday and that she 'loves HER country.'

I asked her if she felt guilty taking what the US is giving her and then not even bothering to become a citizen and she told me that it doesn't bother her, because that is what the money is there for!

I asked the CARIBE administration about their program and if you ARE a US Citizen, you don't qualify for their program. And all the while, I am working a full day, my son-in-law works more than 60 hours a week, and everyone in my family works and pays for our education.

Something is wrong here. I am sorry but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is MY COUNTRY.

Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past -- and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP -- please pass this along. I am not against immigration -- just come through like everyone else.

PART OF THE PROBLEM, Think about this: If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone -- YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM! It is Time for America to Speak up If you agree -- pass this along, if you don't agree --- DELETE THIS.

So this is what an albino Sand Hill Crane looks like!

Yea, I got some pics of one of them too! And the kicker was, the albino was in the same place as the little Whooping Crane, at the same time. Talk about the lottery for bird watching. Kristi, you gotta get Rooster up here to see them, I'll even tell you where you have to go to look. Otherwise...it's classified! :P

Little Whooper slide show #2

Here is the second slide show of the little Whooper. There are only about 300-500 Whoopers in the wild as of last count.

Here is the first slide show!

Because I said so, that's why...

We got Logan all signed up for Kindergarten yesterday. Wow, it is wrong the FF kiddos are old enough to go to school. Corey kept texting me to find out where to go. Umm Juniata is tiny, you CANT get lost in the place. I couldn't get the ringer off on the loaner phone either. To top it off Meagan, Michelle were texting me too about what we were going to do with lessons. Other parents were looking at me funny. Screw'em not like Logan will be in class with their kids all the way through 12th grade...of wait, this is his class till graduation! Oh well. Two girl in his preschool class will be in his class. Could have been worse. They are strict, advising sleep schedules, proper handwriting, ect. Logan's new bedtime will be 7-730 as advised, no naps unless he falls asleep. We started last night, well I did. Corey was on talks again. Convective season is about to begin ya know! He is really excited about the idea of real school. He is so board in preschool. We began old world style handwriting tonight. It is very close to cursive. By this time next year 60% of the kids will be reading, 5% come in reading. One of the PS moms glared at me cause my kid does her does not, I will NOT feel guilty about that. At least her kid listens to me!

Today was awesome day outside. 72, light breeze, and didn't really smell like cow shit. Logan, Sully, and I took a just over 1.5 mile walk one mile. 1 mile was on the road, the rest was the walking path cut out of the field in the back of our homes. Sully picked up everything he could in his coat. And you think he would sit still as I tried to get out the stickers and such? Bad doggie! Took about 10 minutes with a fine toothed comb. My idea of a good time really.

I am getting some strawberries for a desert for Logan this evening. Good brain food. I am happy nighttime is coming soon. He's driving me insane, grouchy with the change in his schedule. "why do I have to go to bed and it is still light out Mom? It's so Lame!" Because I said so, that's why. At least Corey will be home tomorrow to see how charming he is being in the evenings right now. I thought the walk would get some energy out of him, silly me!

Stop asking about my birthday

Honestly call me if you want the 411, it blew. Enough said. Losing my cell was horrid. Yes, being a techie lover has its draw backs. I have bought another AX8600 to hold me off till I can decide between a Palm or Blackberry.

One surprising find was where my Twilight book was last Wednesday. Corey broke down and started to read it. He swears I am a vamp. I can't help the body temp thing, liking rare steak and eyes the change color. I got the books last Aug after a HUGE influx of emails and myspacers telling me I had to read the books. I am not into the fad books, and I think had I not read the first one the night Jerry (adopted dad) was fighting for his life, I wouldn't have yaken as much to it. And the comparision between me and Bella's awesome talents to hurt ourself. Oh that was another thing Corey pointed out! I better get my other books back from Meagan as I see him getting to the end. I am going to get her the DVD for her Birthday at the end of the month. I wonder about getting it myself, but since "Cedric Diggory" & "Shark Boy" Logan will really want to see it. I think New Moon will be worse since "Caspian" is in it. I will cross that bridge as they present themselves.

I sign Logan up for Kindergarden in the morning. I am in a bit of disbelief with the situation. My baby going to school, I never thought it would happen! I am so proud, teacher won't know what hit her.

Corey had 2 talks today in Kansas. He left at 10AM and as 11PM comes he is still not home. I miss him. *Sigh*

Will work on muy Synthisis essay sometime this week...maybe. I would rather be working on my book, instead of research. Uggg...

More incoherant rambling later...
