On the mend

Logan is getting better. I am so happy. Those nights were so dicey, I dreaded them. He started having solid stools again on Wednesday, but still had the gas issues Friday. Controlled though, flu my ass. Honestly, the doc that told me to give him Mylanta, sent her kid to preschool Thursday hacking and subsequently puking. I wouldn't let her in the pool. And that was before I realized who her mother was! There was also another kid in the same group who was sick too, he sat out also. You are not going to get My teachers sick to get over the inconvenience to her of keeping your child at home. That crap doesn't fly with me, no sir. I was at Logan's side for almost a week by that time. I have no sympathy for parents who treat their kids like that. Kids are to be loved and taken care of above yourself, and your job. That's my opinion, it will not change.

Looking to move my blog

I may be moving my blog to this place. I am just running through and seeing if I like it. I have also put in Logan's blog and Sully's blog too. I may still post here and have it fed to there, but I am really thinking of stopping the Myspace blog so now there will still be 2 blogs, likely the same. It's like blogger all grown up or something. We will see if I continue to like the pages there.

Logan and his distended colan

Really it was the night from hell all over again. This time instead of playing out at home I called the BCBS nurses line and brought him in to the ER. There they took blood, X-rays plus gave my kid a rectal exam. I was fit to be tied! Logan's Colan was so full of gas the ER doc looked ashen when he was talking. His body language said he holey disagreed with the pied on call. After the 2 hours we were allowed to go home, Logan having no sleep, still sharp as a tack tried numerous times to get out of being there. I will say the most notable one being "Mom, Dad, lets take a walk.." Sure, he gets out of the room and hauls ass like a 4 year old on a mission to the (wrong)door. He was given an adult dose of some medication whose name escapes me at the moment. The tending was not thrilled, but the pied told him if Logan vomits today make an appointment. Ummm, he does it at night, after hours you stupid shit! This wouldn't be a problem if Kathleen was still his doc, even if she wasn't the on call she would have been in and at his side, not telling someone else it wasn't a big deal and let him get back to sleep. So far today he is fine, but again like yesterday we will find out tonight. At least he's not pooing his brains out like yesterday!

Recap of Sunday:
Logan was on the toilet most of the day, really. He again ate next to nothing, but conned him in to polishing off the Sprite near the end before we went to the ER. He was in a BAD way near 8:30 so I called the nurse line. Sending us to the ER. They took blood, Logan started getting burpy again (like last night before he :puke: ) all over himself and his loving mother. Corey tossed me out of the room while Logan and the bed were being cleaned, I came back in, cleaned where they missed it on him and then myself. I warned them, no one even Corey listened when I said he was going to :puke: I would like to say I told you so, but really I don't need to gloat about the fact I know my kid that well! Did you know lower intestinal bile is a bitch to get out of clothing, he was so upset I had just bought him Star Wars pjs and he was wearing them when it happened? We will NOT be going back to Pizza Hut buffet again anytime soon. Logan was cranky as hell while there, and uncomfortable to say the least. I killed both Corey and I to see him in pain. I couldn't believe the on call didn't come in when they called him. He finally went in and pooed his little butt out, and it was LOUD!!! He went back to the room took my phone demanded Collective Soul starting to finally fall asleep as we were just about getting done. He was serenaded by Ed Roland and the guys, From the ground Up was what he was listening too. He started to hurt as we were leaving, but got home and after pooing another 3 times fell into a deep sleep for 6 hours! A record with this illness. I hope it runs smoother today, he is drinking more, and eating crackers. We are also pumping him full of anti-gas kids stuff. Get better little dude, Love you!

Logan sick, dogs gone crazy!

Friday Logan got to chose where to go for dinner only stipulations from Corey were, no Valentino's and no Nick's (Shaun was not working). So, thinking he was all sly he presented Logan with the choice thinking he would chose the new Mexican spot. Nope once again outsmarted by the 4 year old Corey drove in shame to Pizza Hut. Logan ate basically a whole pizza at the buffet, along with a plate of salad, pineapples and cottage cheese with sunflower seeds. He pooed loudly when he got home, but I thought it was do the amount he ate, not what he ate! All was well as he went to bed, but sometime before 5:03 in the morning he went 1/2 way down his bed (honestly he could have been there already with the way HE sleeps all around the bed!) and :puke: on the floor, promptly going back to sleep to wake at 5:03 and step in it screaming all the way to the bathroom to pee. I say he fell asleep again as it was cold when I cleaned it up (BTW, intestinal pukage is a bitch to clean out of Berber!). I being who I am analyzed what it was, smelled, ect to try and ascertain what caused the event. Logan is not a puker (Like Mom), but a pooper (Like Dad). I would have expected pizza, pepperoni, some tomato sauce, lettuce, maybe some cottage cheese, ect in it. Nope pineapple, crouton and the smell of intestinal (got past the stomach and came back up) bile. He seemed mostly fine the rest of the day, but not eating much. Just around 4:30 the bottom fell out and he was in agony. I go into Super Mom mode, where there is nothing I do but focus on him. This is where Corey feels like he can do nothing. Logan doesn't want him, to see him, talk to him, it is all about him and Mom. We got him to lie down briefly after about 15 minutes he was awake again and insisted going to his bed. There is a method to his madness, he didn't want to puke in our room like he did 2 years ago. It scared the hell out of him back then! So he was on the bed, I was reading to him, Corey was cleaning the carpet for like the 10th time (I could still smell puke) he bolted with his mouth full to the bathroom. Little trooper had a mouthful of puke and made it to the toilet to spit it out. Came the lettuce, and a small amount of steamed rice from today. I was sure then it was food poisoning. By 6:30 he was asleep in his bed after another run to puke from his room, and two sits on the pot. Poor kid it was coming out both ends! I fell asleep around 10:50 and within an hour Logan was on the side of my bed. I put him to the bathroom, he pooed and peed and slept till 3, repeat, then got up at 4:42am. It was a long day for us Logan has spent 1/2 on the pot. He is drinking sprite, on the BRAT diet (apples make him poop, but WTH), and Popsicle. There was a Phineas and Ferb marathon on Disney, so guess what was on and off between stuff today. Corey cleaned everything, like a good little bitch (hehehe, this is when his OCD comes in handy). Logan has just been visiting the toilets (all 4 today). I did get Sully groomed, he was thrilled..really! So much so, he went out side proptle and burrowed in the snow covering himself in it, and coming in 5 minutes later all proud of himself. He came in and attacks (flips it in the air, he's really a hippy passifist) his stuffed jar of "dog mayo" toy topping it off with a Havanese runlikehell! He all runs and grunts, it really is a riot, this went on for about 10 minutes. Then he realized Logan and I were in the room (had been the whole time) and engaged Logan in "mayo toss," he was ticked to play with Sully. Get well soon son, and I hear Lisa is under the weather too. Get well soon girl!

Logan's party recap

Logan's 1/2 birthday celebration was a HIT!! Thank you, thank you!! The cookie (picture to come later) was adorable! All the teacher's converged on me when I came in to see what I had. They remembered last years bags. I showed Theresa (Lo's teacher from last year), she went nuts for the bags, calling Lo's teacher Sarah over with her aide Esther. Sarah was super happy that there was a craft, the noodle one thay had planned didn't have enough or something. So she was like, ":can we do these in class?" I said sure, they all did them before swim lessons. And were excited about them. Score! I went back to get him after class and Sarah said she had to walk away from the cookie. I don't blame her, Eileen's monster cookies are great, add in the frosting they make, and it is heaven!

Logan and I are watching PSYCH from Friday night then it is naptime.

Kid's got a point....

Logan: Why are you calling those poltricians characters?
Me: Well politicians act for the most part. They say one thing and usually for one reason or another don't follow through.
Logan: So they are like actors?
Me: Of sorts.
Logan: So they are like cartoon characters?
I just laughed.

Guarded skeptic of "hope"

I will say this as my comments to the incoming administration, good luck. Hope you bring forth a positive change, unity and all the other crap so many other promise and always fall painfully short on fulfilling. I will wish you well, as I am a proud American damn it! I don't agree with your views, that is my right, until taken away. I want our country to succeed that is not wrong, its the American ideal. We have become painfully divided as of late pointing fingers at the heads of the country instead of those who are truly to blame. Bush didn't force people to take out loans they had no business taking out. They the people did. He didn't tell the banks to start those horrid arm loans either, neither did Clinton, but they began under his watch. Bush kept us safe after 9-11, he did, dropping the ball on the other signs of looming crisis that were evident to us common slugs.
I am DVRing the event, I am sitting at the YMCA with Logan in the Adventure Challenge as he took the oath of office. Good luck again to Obama, I say it with true honesty. In the same thought I just feel like saying, "There goes the neighborhood." We chose our bed, lets hope it is as cushy as it looks. All hail the new Celebrity in Chief.

Research project revisited and Sully news

I have changed the topic a bit delving into the history of the Havanese and the "re-created" breed of Havana Silks. I will focus on the similarities of the dogs. I was happy to find in writing to "Doc" who was on of the key people in the Silk break away more then happy to assist me in the paper. I was touched. I was not expecting to get a reply, an not only did she reply but comment, giving honest and heart warming points. I think no matter what the outcome of this paper, I have more respect for "Doc" then before, most of which was influenced by Dee to begin with.
"We are not out to 'destroy' HCA or 'rip apart' the Havanese community. We have simply accepted the fact that, like people stuck in a very bad marriage, all parties concerned would be better off going their separate ways...an amicable divorce, so to speak, which should relieve the continual conflict that occurs when 2 groups with different philosophies try to live under the same roof and keep bumping into each other and butting heads. We wish the HCA well and many years of continued success."

I was really pleased to see she wrote that at the end.

Another thing I was able to garner out of her was the fact of her being a DVM, she was valuable in the health issues for both sets of dogs.

On another note, I broke down and bought a Dremel to do Sully's nails, a Remington beard clipper for trimming his pads, butt, and boy-part area, some shampoo and conditioner, lastly the grooming table from our groomer. Most groomers woulsn't encourage batheing and grooming yourself of a dog like Sully, but she has been after me for a while to give it a try. I did this afternoon. I was petrified. I had done his nails and clippered where needed last night, it went well. Thanking God again Sully is California cool and laid back! I washed him in the sink letting Logan hose him from time to time. It took 78minutes on the table to blow dry him, I used the cheap old hair dryer we used to use with Monarch. Really it was no more difficult then when I used to bathe FoxGlove our old rescue sheltie. But combing him straight while drying was interesting. He is all soft and poofy now, I am happy, so is he. He got some filet minion this evening, left over from my dinner, he was a happy dog. I think I took pictures but with the day, I may have only thought about doing so. Mommy brain!!! I will check later and post if I did on Sully's page.

Research project

After being told I know too much about this and that, too emotional of a topic of another and of course the "you will alienate yourself from the community no matter how you write this" of another I found a topic the instructor will let me write on. It is in the world of Dogs actually quite a hot button at least in the Havanese community.

Is the American Kennel Club’s standard of Havanese correct? Or is the Havana Silk (sub-breed?) actually the renewed version of the official native dog of Cuba?

Well over this semester, I hope to find out. I am taking on the 3rd rail in the Havanese wold and asking the question. How can I do this of all topics without letting bias show through? Well quite simple actually, Sully is on of the few, a pure 50/50 mix of the 2! Which is likely why he did so well in the ring no matter the judge!

So it begins, my calls to Karen to see who are "the people to talk to" on both sides. It really is a no-brainer that I have to talk to Diane Klumb and Joanne Baldwin about the Silks. They are the main movers in the in that movement. For Havs I have to look to the ones in Florida. Thank goodness Karen was my hookup! Thanks again Karen!!!

I was looking at the Havanese Club of America website and low and behold who was there staring at me but my won doggie! I had forgot Karen had submitted his pic back in the day! What a happy discovery.

1/2 birthday bags are done!

You know it's a big enough pain in the arse to get a birthday party and favors done. Now with preschool celebrating his 1/2 birthday gives me a whole new ulcer. He wanted Imagination Movers for his theme for school. Fine, that will be easy, so I thought. They sold goodie bags right on the website. That was of course, till I went to the site and saw really how little you got in the goodie bags. We have all the Cd's we really need. And there are 15 in his class, making it so we would have 5 extra bags(or they were willing to give me a cd). I am not spanding 40 bucks on bags filled with a sticker, and a poster. I instead made gift bags. Happy Birthday bags from the Dollar Tree (1 dollar), 3 packages of 6 twirly drums (3bucks), Guitar pick neclase craft (5 bucks for the picks, 2 bucks for beads, 3 bucks for connectors, and 2 bucks for the string), Crayon packages (3.50), made our own stickers at snapfish (onsale with shipping 4.50), and printable coloring pages of The Movers from Disney Online. 25 dollars all together, not 40! All there is left to do is to now is go to Eileens and have them design a "GearHead" monster flavored cookie for the kiddos. All will cost the price of the gift bags from The Movers alone. I'm am not really saying my bags our better, but they are a better deal!

Some idiot will slip on that ice, I bet!

After getting Logan off to school, I had good intentions of popping in to make sure all positions were filled this weekend for the guards, then go work out. I park at the pool entrance, and looked at the ice patch outside my door. I walked around it thinking that I should tell someone should do something with that ice before some idiot slipped on it and hurt them selves. Just as I was thinking that, my heel nicked the ice and down I went! It was about right. I sat in the pool office for the next hour cussing up a storm. I then filed an incident report and went to get my steamer. I was thinking I could hack it not going to the docs office, till I tried to actually turn my head to the left. I couldn't, I knew then I at least had a pinched nerve in my neck. So after getting my steamer it was off to the docs office. They are really stocked with ass holes st the front desk, but after being shuffled around I got one competent person and she got me in with one of the docs at the practice. I ended up with "Father Time." Nice enough guy, but really! He checked me out and sent me to X-ray. After X-ray, I went back with Father Time. He suggested a collar, I asked him if he was going to try to fit me with it. He took one look at me, and said if I wanted one to come back and get it. If I was not feeling better by next week on the meds, I was to come back. I think I might of scared him a bit! Ha! Needless to say, I have given myself whip-lash. Me and my bad skills! Corey is threatening to put me in a bubble. So, I tell him, what happens if I fall in the bubble. There will be no one to help me. Story of my life!

A few words of wisdom from Thomas Jefferson

I stole this from Mike on MySpace..Thanks Mike!!!

This was in my newsletter from rufftimes.com. Thought I would share it cause its so real with what's happening today.

  • When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
  • The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
  • It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
  • Ipredict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent thegovernment from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense oftaking care of them.
  • My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
  • No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
  • Thestrongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and beararms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny ingovernment.
  • The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
  • Tocompel a man to subsidize with his taxes, the propagation of ideaswhich he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
  • Ibelieve that banking institutions are more dangerous to our libertiesthan standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banksto control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then bydeflation, those banks and the corporations that will grow up aroundthe banks will deprive the people of all property until their childrenwake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Got my new jacket today

I checked on the order yesterday in Kearney and they said next Thursday. Corey checked his email this morning and it was at Cabela's. We went and got it. I love it. It is large enough to layer when needed, since it didn't come with a hat, it is a must for me. I slipped it on and even though it is not real fur, or leather, I liken it to slipping into a feather. Or like eating a piece of Dove Milk chaocolate! Needless to say, I like it.

I also bought the beads, and meterial for the guitar pick necklases for Logan's 1/2 birthday goodie bags. So last night I poked holes in 16 picks, and placed connector on them. Now I have to bag them all up, sort beads out, write simple instructions for them, and bag them up.

I will start my yoga this evening, after a break from working out yesterday. Then when I drop off Logan in the mornng for school, I will either swim laps or be off to the hamster wheel they call a track at the Y and do my 2-3 miles. I am with you Alisha, and will keep it up.

He doesn't miss a chance to jam

So we were at Jimmy John's this evening getting ready to leave. YMCA came on, Logan LOVES that song. He starts to "runway walk" up the long row to the door. Stops abruptly at the trash can, pops his hip out and begins dancing! I was laughing so hard I about started to cry. Corey just smiled and rolled his eyes, I think he was trying not to bust a gut. Then he starts singing as we leave. Most the people know at least of who we are, so it doesn't strike them as odd to have this little kid doing stuff like that. Many of them worked at Taco Bell and know Logan as, "The Nick's Gyro kid." It's just another one of those memories you file away for the days that get rough and thought I would share.

I wonder if Corey realizes I took this?

Sorry it is side ways, but here is what Logan went to sleep to this evening. Corey playing his N61 which he got back this morning from the guitar Doctor! It was on my cell so bear with it.

What a co-wink-i-dink

I am still sore in my leg from Yoga 2 nights ago. So tonight I think it will be light work with the weights. After all I ate this afternoon, I should be running a marathon this evening. That is SO not happening, now or ever if I can help it.

It was funny, as I was reading Tina's blog this evening about Nip Tuck's new season I noticed I had a message on the answering machine. It was ironically the tending nurse(Carol) from my plastic surgeons office. Dr. Finkel and Carol were going over charts from last year (and since it's been a couple days over 6 months.) Carol called to check up on me. I joke about getting a boob job. Well I did, kind of, it was a reductions do to the fact I had a very (ungodly) large chest and had some fibroids that were freaking me out. So after 4 hours and over 2lbs of tissue being removed I went from a 45 inch bust (over DD) to a 35-36 inch (b-c cup). She asked about scarring, I said no more then should be expected, minus the fact Logan slammed the truck door into them the day after I had the procedure. All and all I think I am happy I did it. It really has changed my life. I can go into a store and actually buy bras, it's nice. I haven't been able to do that since I was about 15-16 years old! And to answer the question, I do not watch Nip/Tuck. More power to those who do like it though, enjoy the new season!

Corey finally gets his N61 back from RedHouse tomorrow. They had to sand down the top 2 frets and reset them. I hope the buzzing is gone. I am hoping since it is really 90% done, it will make him happy. I think as long is the buzzing is gone, he SHOULD be alright. We shall see tomorrow when we pick it up at 10AM tomorrow.

Sore subject

Is is just me, but after doing an hour of yoga, I feel nothing? After a while my legs feel like columns that don't want to move. Sleep on it and stiffness continues after you wake up from hard sleeps. This should have been a BIG read flag this morning to take it easy. Me and my sickeningly high IQ decided to ignore the tightness in my trunk, legs, and back and jog and brisk walk for more then 2.5 miles. Now my arse hurts too, dang! My post workout tan was nice, and the steamer was even btter. Tanning for me is not as frequent as it once was, but it really is like prozak in a bed. I am so much more clam, and can almost handle what happened next.

At least Logan started back in school today. Whoo hoo! He got in a bit of trouble for yelling, "That is a damn fine specimen of a frog you got there---." I should be mortified, but he could have said worse. Can't say I have ever uttered the words "damn" & "fine" together, but I am sure when the in-laws find out it will be my fault. In private my FIL will tell me "I handled the fact he said it damn fine considering." But the other kid DID have a nice looking frog cut out. He quickly repented when the aide heard him. Well the whole class heard him truth be told, as he was so loud. The volume I will say is my fault for sure, but if he said something I would say it would have been far worse.

More later...maybe!

innocence

In some ways I envy my son in others, I would hate to be him. I have high expectations for him. Not for what I think he will be but for what I know he is now. I hate seeing him slack off. I detest when he gets the "what can you do for me" attitude so many in the western world seem to have. This to me is NOT acceptable. I understand he is a 4 year old child. I treat him as such for the most part. I don't beat, or slap (well the occasional hand slap) him, though sometimes I think a ticket to the 'ol wood shed Grandpa used to threaten could work. I get utterly annoyed when he acts like he doesn't know something or just doesn't respect boundaries. Those are a must in this house. He has them,I have them, Corey has them, hell even Sully has them. Logan doesn't like intrusions he has to respect our limitations too. Like not shouting "Deer!' in the car while we are driving then laughing hysterically as we swerve looking for the damned thing. Yelling at the top of his lungs in the car is another annoyance.

Society to me right now is in the shitter. Look at most "kid shows" Power Rangers, Batman, that carp. No educational value but jammed packed with useless violence. Looking back to when I was a kid there was Loony Tunes, but now too violent. You know that Road Runner and Coyote...or the racial stereo of Speedy Gonzalez. Umm alright, so lets kill for the sake of beat up people and kill, to hell with the consequences. And we wonder why society is in the clink. Let's not forget Dora the poster child for leftist propaganda going against the leftists at Viacom and telling children while crying she wouldn't see them because big bad Viacom was taking her off the air. Shows like hers are just the leftist way of making our children learn our new national language of illegal immigrants. I think it is crap that other nationalities are not shown where are the Canadian's? The French, the Germans? Lest we forget the Chechz for "Bo-hunk's" like the Carlson's. <--Just keepin' it real Krazy Girl! It's crap plain and simple. I try to shelter Logan as much as I can from this bunk, but he plays with other kids and they are teaching him to kill, kill, kill, shoot and kill some more. He is looked down on for watching Harry Potter. Why, because people die? Reality check people die, but they don't go around thoughtlessly killing for the hell of it. Logan is not afraid and understand the difference between reality and movies.

I love the innocence he has at times, it really makes me feel like a Mom. "Mom can you read me another Chapter from our book?" Mom, can we watch Cars tonight," or "Can we play Tractor Tippin' the game?" He will take SurvivorMan over Batman, Ghost Hunters over Dora. Not that I would let him watch that at home, but at the Nursery those get played. He learns stuff from Les, and besides "Collargate" which he doesn't understand he is not afraid of ghosts since I introduced him to Ghost Hunters about this time last year. Let me tell you nights go much more smoothly too! "Lets play with my Cars Mom; I want to make a snowball and throw it." God, I never had magic like that as a kid. I don't remember my Mom doing anything with me, I had toys and book to keep me company. Nothing to keep me safe though. I am happy that as Logan goes into Kindergarten I will have reached a mini goal for him, keeping him safe from harm and off to school. I never had that luxury, as Joey (my sitter) raped me for the last time and tried to suffocate me just days before I began Kindergarten. My next goal is 10 for Logan then. The last time my uncle had his grubby hands on me. Just chip away at the horrors of my childhood by being hyper-vigilant and keeping my baby safe.

Dr. Kathleen likened him at his 3 year check up to me this was, "a 6-7 year old trapped in the body of a 3 year old." How true, and he's grown even more in leaps and bounds since. I think she enjoys seeing how he has blossomed. I know I do. His favorite word to spell is brat, it is from a book Krazy Girl got him for his birthday. We do at least 5 sight-words a day now. He is so proud and so are we. I just wish he would use his utensils when we eat!!!

Some ask why we don't have more kids. First there is no guarantee they would be like him. We got all we could have wanted and SOOOO much more with him. Secondly, I am not a baby machine. Carrying a child is not my forte. Pregnancy was killer for me. Really. Thank God I lived through it. For all the promises it will be better again, I knew the first would be harrowing, no one listened till it was about too damn late for both of us. I am thankful Jess wasn't there for it, she would have gone postal seeing me like that and there was nothing she could do. More power to those with more then one kid. My hat is off to you, but one is it for us unless God slips us a curve (please don't!!).

I get to watch him grow, change and drive me insane daily. I never have to share time with him and someone else. I pour my heart and my soul to this little dude, and I just pray that it will click as he gets older to do the right thing not always the easy or fun thing. I see the trappings of his old soul inside wanting to come out, and I keep telling him in time you will be older in body, but to not rush it. Play with your toys, enjoy Play House Disney, write with both of your hands if you want sing the wrong words and dance like a mad-man. To hell with what others think, I am gonna love you either way. Live life to the fullest by embracing it all, there will be time when you are older to stress, not now.

I look at my own relationships with my family if you can call it that. There is my mother whom I harbor resentment towards to selling me out and knowing about it. Then acting as if she didn't know. Tom my biological father for being the most non committed parent on the planet, but at least he had my back when I needed it. The look on his face when he first saw his grandson was priceless. Jerry my adopted father who nice enough but still to this day cannot parent, but is I am told a great councilor. Go figure. He always makes me feel like I am not important enough to have time for, still to this day. Sucks really. Keyara is the queen of being enabled. Her bread and butter is playing her kid against mom and Jerry. And they stupidly fall for it time after time. It is really sicking. She will never amount to shit in less they make her life without their constant crutches. Easier said then done seeing as they are all guilty of it all her life. My entire mothers side are oblivious to the fact that my uncle and his brothers, and friends and step uncles used most the nieces and nephews as their sex toys. Talk about killing the messanger when I fanally had enough to say something. They just look the other way even making him a pseudo saint in their eyes. I cannot stand it! Tom's family has always been warm and loving in their Zeimet way. It's weird I can be closer to them them him. They are cool, just they are so open to me and who I am. The closet thing to life-long acceptance I have had. Then there is Jerry's family. Most treated me like the adopted kid as I grew up and was used to being the outsider. They are how I cut my teeth with saying to hell with other people. Funny how when I went back last year those who were so cold to me as a child were so warm to me at Jo and Mike's. They just don't know what to make of me, good. Jo and Mike are a riot, and likely my favorite from that family. They have one son too. I keep everyone even them at arms length to protect myself. If I learned anything July '07 was not to trust anyone completely..ever. But, in the same token I cannot black ball people either. I see the immediate family, Logan's grandparents so he knows them, and has a chance to love them. All of them. He doesn't see the flaws and I try REALLY hard not to point them out to him. Though he can sense tensions and has even called me on bull-shitting him about some of it. Smart kid. Glad he is mine. And darn proud of him too!

1st Non American born President?

I never get sick of reading this stuff...it is like a never ending saga.. Do I know what to believe? No. Either way it is entertaining as hell to those of us conspiracy mongers. The next 4 years will be a blast to see the country go 'round the toilet bowl. Lets all go green then tax our asses off for conserving fuel, lets use compact florescent light bulbs to "save energy" but if the break they are bio hazards. Wind energy only gives back about 18% of the cost to have them put up and operated. Don't even get me started on using corn for ethanol when saw grass and algae give off way more then it takes to put into it. We need to be stewards to the Earth sure, but we are screwing ourselves coming and going. Heck, we can't even get the cabinet positions filled due to "pay-to-play." That's alright the Hubby didn't want Richardson as his boss anyhow. Bet Clinton is looking pretty damn good right now to some of you. What a fine mess. Good luck to you Obama, where ever the hell you were born.

Dog in a tux? WHAT?

I am an awesome owner...

So far so goodish 2009

We ran in the new year watching SurvivorMan. New Years Day was a chore, no steamers for me. I just wanted a warm yummy drink to deal with morning. No dice. Corey got to watch most of the Husker game in HD at home before going to work since Logan fell asleep upstairs. I did too! Corey left then we watched the rest of the game cheering on Bo and the crew in the Gator Bowl. We went out to taco bell and visited Corey at work. WE popped to Walmart to get a cork board, and founf New Moon for my friend Maegan. After a couple epis of Backyardagains and it was bed for boy-wonder!

Today we started out late..all of us. It was off to the gym, gave Maeg her book. I made it half a mile or so jogging, said screw it and brisked walked the rest of the 2 miles. Off to Valentino's for lunch, I felt sick and grazed. Corey was off to work a bit later after some rousing games of Tractor Tippin' board game. We napped, got up and off to Wally world. Go in for 2 hair clips and razors come out with 2 hair clips, razors, 2 boxes of Christmas cards, and 5 shirts for Sully. Damn. When Sully stops yaking all over the floor I will get some pics of him in his new duds. At 1.50 a pop, I couldn't resist. The shirts keep him dryer in wet weather.

Here is what I bought this evening from Cabela's:

I had a 25 dollar gift card and 36 left on the credit card. It was 65 dollars. Kicker is: we lost the gift card. Still getting it for 32 buck when it was 80 is a darn good deal. Corey wanted me to have a girlie looking jack. This is the best I can do.
